1. Scope of Physical Services
American Geeks provides strictly on-site, physical technology installation, hardware deployment, and cabling infrastructure setup. All services are performed in person at the customer’s specified home or workplace address.
We do not provide remote desktop support, software troubleshooting, password recovery, or telephone-based technical support.
2. Service Territory & Appointments
Our service area is limited to Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and select areas of Montgomery County, Maryland including Ashburn, McLean, Great Falls, Bethesda, Potomac, and the NW DC metro area.
All visits must be scheduled in advance and are subject to technician availability, travel scheduling, weather conditions, and physical access to the appointment location.
3. Independent Service Provider Disclaimer
American Geeks is an independent local service company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or partner to Microsoft, Apple, Google, Facebook, or any other third-party brand, corporation, or manufacturer.
4. Customer Responsibilities
The customer must ensure that an adult over the age of 18 is present during the entire scheduled appointment window and that our technicians have safe physical access to the premises, wiring systems, utility areas, and hardware locations required to complete the installation.
Customers are responsible for backing up important personal or business information prior to any installation or hardware modification appointment.
American Geeks and its technicians are not responsible for accidental data loss, inaccessible files, interrupted services, software corruption, hardware failure, or pre-existing technical issues discovered during or after installation.
5. Payment & Scheduling
Payment is due upon completion of the scheduled on-site service unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Appointment times are estimates and may vary depending on traffic conditions, prior service appointments, and project complexity. We reserve the right to charge a local travel or trip fee for missed appointments where an adult is not present or access to the site is denied.
6. Liability Limitation
American Geeks shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including business interruption, loss of productivity, network outages, equipment incompatibility, or hardware malfunction.
